Christmas can be a very stressful time of year. Whether it’s the logistics of getting the family together, the worry of potential arguments, money, the planning up to the day or panicking that you’ve not got enough food for everyone. In isolation these things may be manageable but put them together and you may feel more overwhelmed.
From a survey the British Association of Anger Management conducted, more than half of British families have family disagreements at Christmas and a quarter of relationships come under pressure. They’ve even quoted that the average family have their first argument at 9:58am on Christmas morning!
To help keep your cool this year and make your Christmas a festive success, have a look at the A to Z of how to survive Christmas. There’s also some useful ideas on how to keep things in perspective over this time of year and giving children or teenagers some ways to help control their anger when things get on top of them.
Just remember – it’s one day – don’t worry about making the day perfect. People are looking forward to spending time with you and the family.
