Microneedling with Radio Frequency – Face & Body

3D Dermaforce Microneedling and Radio Frequency in Cheltenham

Microneedling and Radio Frequency combine together to provide an advanced method of skin rejuvenation, that changes the structure of skin tissue, particularly collagen and elastin.  Because this treatment stimulates the body’s natural healing process and encourages collagen production in the skin’s dermal layer, the result is rejuvenated and tightened skin.

At ProFacials (part of Cheltenham Reflexology and Massage) we invested in the professional 3D-Dermaforce microneedling and Radio frequency machine. We love that the needles are ultra-fine, causing less discomfort, and that the machine’s motor and vacuum settings ensure smooth, precise and consistent needle insertion into the skin.

What Results Can Be Expected?

The skin will take on a more plump appearance, due to the increase thickness of the dermal layer. This will in turn, improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Pigmentation will improve and the general appearance of the skin will be brighter. Stretch marks and loose skin will improve with a course of treatments.

What Happens During a Treatment?

The skin is cleansed and then the needle head is moved across the area that needs to be worked. A slight vacuum of skin is held against the needle head. The needles are inserted into the skin, as a ‘gliding in’ effect.

Radio frequency energy is delivered through the gold-plated, insulated needles, allowing precise delivery into the epidermis and dermis of the skin. You may feel a slight heat and pressure from the needle head. The feeling may be uncomfortable, but not painful.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Everybody is different but the general guide is 1-3 treatments as a course (1 treatment each 4 weeks, to allow for skin recovery)

Some people decide to have further courses of treatment. In this case, a 6-8 week gap will be left before another course of 3 treatments is provided.

To enhance this treatment you can add microcurrent, that provides muscle toning and LED Phototherapy, that will aid healing, cell turnover and tissue regeneration.

Is There Any Downtime After the Treatment?

You will possible experience pink skin and slight swelling for up to 72 hours after treatment.

Non-mineral makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment.

Things to avoid for 24-48 hours after treatment include:
